Why do you have such a hipster bike?
Other than bike polo, what good is it for?
Well honestly everything about my bike revolves around 2 things - 80% bike polo and 20% riding around.
the frame was the cheapest thing i could find that was a road frame, therefore good for riding around the streets of a city, but also could fit a little bit larger tires which I wanted for bike polo.
The handlebars were given to me when I got the bike, they are so tiny so that I can swing my mallet around them as fast as possible, and at the same time they are good for riding in the city because I can squeeze through tight fits between cars. the only thing that sucks about the handlebars is that my wrist are starting to fit from having only a straight handhold option. I need new bars that curve either back towards me slightly.
the original wheels that I had were shitty as fuck and were busted after two polo sessions. therefore I paid 40bucks for those ones off of my friend marky mark.
all the spoke cards represent different bike polo events and all but one were made by myself.
the crankset is the only thing I have really indulged in- its a nice outward bearing set that I got for 70$ after my other one bent like the piece of scrap metal it was.
the seat I ripped off my friends old bike and makes my ass hurt everytime i ride more than 20 minutes.
and the stickers I got from bike porn, the WNBR, and the irondelles which are the girls that ride tall bikes.
so assuming hipster means poser- i dunno what is hipster about it. although of course it follows popular trends in bikes and aesthetics because imma part of the 2010 hive mind!!!
